Environmentally Sound Practices
Our family farm raises Angus Beef. The herd is cared for using paddocks pasturing system which ensures quality grasses for the cattle to eat. This is an environmentally sound practice that alternates pasture land caring for the soil and grasses of the land.
Many cattle farmers give their herd low level antibiotics on a regular basis. Our cattle are monitored by local veterinarians for sickness. Should a calf or steer need antibiotics they are removed from the herd and cared for.
Custom Processing
Our beef are raised locally and processed at a federally inspected facility. They are delivered, slaughter and dry aged for two to three weeks to ensure tender aged beef. This process of dry aging produces a tender well tasting steaks and roasts. Our ground beef is mixed for juicy beef patties. Our packages of ground beef are a leaner mix for healthier consumption. Our round steaks are tenderized for use in stews, chili, beef stroganoff and multiple uses. The steaks are cut 1 inch thick and have great marbling for tender great tasting steaks. We have beef brisket for slow cooking and smoking.
Located in the Red River Valley of Northern Minnesota, our family has lived off of the land growing crops and raising livestock for four generations. We pride ourselves in the care we provide the livestock and attention we give the land.
When you visit our farm, you will find many relatives nearby all making their contribution. In addition to cattle, we also grow sugar beets, grain, corn and beans. Our herd of cattle are well cared for on our family farm.
We raise beef and started selling to our neighbors and friends who spread the word. Now we sell our beef at local farmers markets and across the Red River Valley. We sell our superior beef to local restaurants and deliver to customers in large or small packages. Our customers return again and again refusing to buy other beef.
Due to the high quality and demand we have enjoyed, we were encouraged by our local customers to share our beef across the United States.
We raise Angus Beef that is grass and corn fed for better taste. We raise the beef providing minimal additions to their diet caring for the health of the herd is our top priority. In doing so, the beef is the best it can be for you and your family.
Our beef is sent to a local butcher, who with the federal inspector, dry ages the beef to provide tender steaks and roasts.
